TV Talk #3: The Bachelor, The Challenge Battle of the Exes, Real World Skeletons, Criminal Minds, SVU

Okay so this is a bit late. So sue me. Let’s talk some TV. And let’s do it ASAP because it’s almost time for a new TV week and soon all of these things will be overshadowed by new ridiculous television things.

Let’s get down to business.

#1. The Bachelor

Okay. What. the. actual. freaking. heck. Let me go in order.

FIRST: That first date between Chris and Carly was AWFUL. I don’t care if you’re a national television show, you DO NOT put people together and darn near force them to take their clothes off and touch each other on a first date. or a second or third or fifth or whatever. It’s just not okay. I was really upset at Chris for not making sure Carly was okay with it — and I was SO PROUD of Carly for speaking up.
SECOND: Britt doesn’t shower? Then how come her hair looks so fabulous? Shoot, maybe I’ll stop showering if it will make my hair look like that. JK. I was ultra annoyed that she SLEEPS in her makeup and then Chris said something about how she looks just as beautiful in the morning as she does the other time of day. ugh. not okay.
THIRD: WHAT IS THIS KELSEY NONSENSE!? She is a freaking school guidance counselor let me remind you. Absolute nutcase. I hope that in regards to her husband’s death, we’re just seeing really poor, tasteless editing because she actually seems HAPPY to have such a sad story? She’s a nutcase, GET RID OF HER NOW!!

I’m still voting for Whitney.

#2. MTV The Challenge: Battle of the Exes 2

Okay so I was wondering how long it takes these people to set up all of the challenges? They have these giant structures suspended above water with all these things… it just seems like a crapton of work.

Um I CANNOT believe that Bananas got eliminated. Technically he didn’t have the opportunity to fight, but still. He usually is around until the end. HOWEVER! I’m guessing that he comes back after the Exile. People seemed really shocked when they show the footage of people returning. I hope he comes back and gets rid of Wes, who is probably my least favorite contestant EVERY time.

MTV The Real World: Skeletons

#3. The Real World: Skeletons

This show is too much drama for me. I don’t understand the point of the skeletons. Like when they did the Real World: Ex-Plosion… the exes all MOVED IN to the house. For this one, the skeletons come for… how long?  Like what are the rules? It would make more sense if they did things like “we’re sending you guys on a weekend escape… oh btw here are a bunch of people that hate you.” or something. Instead, random people drop in and one oblivious girl befriends them and the other dude sleeps with them and there’s some fighting and then like a day later they leave. What’s the point? I just don’t get it.

#4. Criminal Minds

The chess. All the chess. I just can’t. Spencer Reid being so sad? I just can’t. I want to get him a kitten or something.

Okay I straight up don’t really remember the plot of the show this week. So I had to go back and remind myself. and… then I still kind of didn’t remember. Except I do remember that they introduced… a girl. who is apparently supposed to be a potential person for Reid.

just no.

Spencer Reid doesn’t need a girlfriend unless it’s me. Like real life me dating fictional Spencer Reid. That is the only girlfriend he’s allowed to have. I hope the writers of Criminal Minds read this and understand that and they can call my agent (or my cell phone, same thing) and we can discuss payment (he just has to hold my hand) and then Spencer Reid can have a girlfriend.

See, we’d be cute:

#5. Law & Order: SVU

Ummmmm BARF ON THE GIRL’S UNCLE.
And this was an ultra sad episode. The saddest was the guy who was wrongfully accused… and then murdered. It’s a reflection of our society, where you’re innocent until proven guilty… in a court of law. I just watched Gone Girl (BARF ON THAT MOVIE TOO) and was thinking a lot about how the media and our country feels the need to take sides on issues and crimes and tragedies that we know nothing about, as if what we’ve been presented is the truth.

Madeleine L’Engle says there is a different between truth and fact. Fact is changeable, truth isn’t. The killing of the innocent man in this episode of SVU was the worst part of it all for me. I actually got so angry I almost turned it off, but I didn’t.

Can I just say that I’m SO EXCITED for Catfish to come back on TV this month?  I think I’ll stop writing about Real World in order to keep my TV Talk at 5. What do you think??
